Israel and the US object to the rebuilding of Lebanon

Hizbullah is making good on its promise to rebuild Lebanon, much to the consternation of the United States and Israel. Brigadier General Yossi Kuperwasser, a senior Israeli intelligence officer, told Reuters,

"What I'm afraid of is that what is going to happen now is the Iranians will be the first people around to bring in huge amounts of money for reconstruction."

A Christian doctor interviewed by EuroNews said,

"We trust Hizbullah because when they promise something they deliver" - referring to Hizbullah's efforts to rebuild Lebanon. video

Surely the United States Government cannot be so insipid as to believe that any financial compensation it offers can compete with Hizbullah for the hearts of the Lebanese people?

The United States aided and abetted Israel in its wanton destruction, genocide and ethnic cleansing. It should be under no illusions that Israel, the United States, Britain and France are the enemy. It was Hizbullah that defeated the the Zionist invaders; it was Hizbullah that forced them to stop the bombing and shelling; it is Hizbullah who once again are rebuilding Lebanon. When the World stood idly by Hizbullah did not.

It is one thing for the United States Government to call Hizbullah a terrorist organisation and the Lebanese government legitimate and democratic, but quite another to actually believe it: it is bordering on insanity. No wonder US foreign policy is in such a malaise.
